Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how WASP Flight Center collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the WASP Flight Center desktop application, website, and related services.

The scope of data processing may vary depending on whether you use local-only functionality, account-based features, website features, or services that rely on online infrastructure.

2. Data Controller and Contact

For privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns regarding the processing of your data in connection with WASP Flight Center, please contact:support@wlangusta.pl

Additional business or operator identification information may be provided in the legal notice, contact section, or other official website materials where applicable.

3. Local-First Architecture

WASP Flight Center follows a local-first architecture. This means that detailed flight telemetry, recordings, logs, analytical data, and other operational information are primarily stored on your local device rather than on WASP servers.

Server-side processing is limited to data reasonably necessary to support account continuity, online services, security, validation, and related product functions.

Depending on the features you use, this may include in particular:

  • your email address,
  • your username or display name,
  • your pilot avatar, if provided,
  • authentication and session-related data,
  • career progression data,
  • flight results and validation-related records,
  • completed job information,
  • virtual economy data, including WASP Coins balance,
  • basic profile data required to maintain account continuity across devices.

4. Purposes of Processing

Server-side data may be processed only as reasonably necessary for purposes such as:

  • account registration, authentication, and account security,
  • maintaining profile continuity and account-linked progression,
  • career systems, economy systems, and gameplay-related validation,
  • validation of flight results, completed jobs, and related records,
  • leaderboards and other online functionality,
  • protection of progression and economy systems against abuse or manipulation,
  • support handling, issue investigation, and user communication,
  • service monitoring, infrastructure protection, and operational integrity.

5. Cookies

This website uses cookies solely for authentication and session management purposes. No advertising, tracking, profiling, or analytics cookies are used.

The following cookies may be set when you log in to your WASP Flight Center account:

  • wasp_token — stores your authentication token required to verify your identity and maintain a secure session. This cookie is set upon login and expires after 7 days.
  • wasp_user — stores basic session-related account information used to display your profile within the application interface. This cookie is set upon login and expires after 7 days.

Both cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of account-based features. They are set as HttpOnly and Secure, meaning they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are transmitted only over encrypted connections. They are not used for any purpose beyond session authentication.

These cookies are not set for visitors who do not log in to an account.

6. Data Stored Locally

Detailed flight data, including telemetry, recordings, local logs, and certain analytical records, is primarily stored on your local device.

You are responsible for the storage, integrity, retention, and backup of this local data if you wish to preserve it in the event of hardware failure, operating system damage, reinstallation, application removal, corruption, or manual deletion.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, WASP Flight Center does not continuously mirror all locally stored analytical and telemetry data to the server.

7. Third-Party Integrations and Services

WASP Flight Center may use third-party services, platforms, or integrations required for core or optional product functionality. These may include, among others:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator, as a source of simulator data via SimConnect,
  • Mapbox, for map features, map rendering, and spatial visualization,
  • SimBrief, for flight planning and briefing integration.

Where required for a specific feature, limited technical, operational, or account-related data may be processed through such services.

The collection and processing of data by third-party providers may also be subject to their own privacy policies, terms, and technical practices.

SimBrief-related functionality is currently provided on a pending-approval basis and may be limited, changed, or disabled if required by the relevant third-party provider terms.

Third-party names are used descriptively to identify compatible services or integrations. WASP Flight Center is an independent application and is not presented as an official product of, or as endorsed by, those third-party providers unless expressly stated by the relevant provider.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade users' personal data.

We may rely on trusted third parties that assist with infrastructure, hosting, email delivery, technical operations, analytics relevant to service integrity, security, or other functions reasonably necessary for operating WASP Flight Center.

Such third parties are used only where reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate confidentiality, access control, and security measures.

9. Data Retention

We retain server-side personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, security, support, service continuity, dispute handling, compliance, and legitimate operational needs.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, technical necessity, security relevance, legal obligations, and the need to investigate abuse, fraud, or operational issues.

Data that is no longer reasonably necessary may be deleted, anonymized, or retained only in a form required for legal, security, or technical reasons.

10. Reference Data and External Sources

Certain analytical features, including runway touchdown analysis, runway geometry, threshold reference data, airport reference layers, or other environmental reference data, may rely on external or open-source datasets.

The accuracy, completeness, and consistency of such data may vary depending on the airport, simulator environment, scenery configuration, and reference source.

11. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect account data, service integrity, and server-side processed information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no system, network, or storage environment can guarantee absolute security. Users should also take reasonable steps to protect their own devices, credentials, and locally stored data.

12. Your Rights

Depending on the law applicable to your location, you may have rights related to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability concerning personal data processed by us.

To submit a privacy-related request, please contact us using the address provided on this page. We may request reasonable information necessary to verify the request and protect account security.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time where reasonably necessary to reflect product development, legal requirements, operational changes, security needs, or changes to third-party services and dependencies.

The current version published on the website should be treated as the governing version unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
